Indemnity Legal was co-founded by James Morris, a specialist insurance lawyer experienced in resolving disputed insurance claims. A “poacher turned gamekeeper”, James used to advise insurance companies on whether or not to pay insurance claims. He now uses that experience to advise consumers and businesses on how best to challenge their insurers when claims are declined or policies are cancelled or avoided.

Chief Financial Officer

Roseanne Taylor co-founded Indemnity Legal and is the firm’s Chief Financial Officer. Roseanne is a Chartered Accountant with 24 years’ experience working in businesses of all sizes, including FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies, a forensic accounting firm and younger, high growth challenger businesses. Roseanne now uses her expertise to ensure that Indemnity Legal operates “best of breed” practices and in supporting our lawyers to deliver outstanding service to the firm’s clients.

Rosemary Hort
Associate

Prior to her qualification in 2017, Rosemary worked in insurance litigation for a number of years. Since qualification, Rosemary has advised businesses and their insurers in a wide variety of sectors on disputes ranging from small to multi-million-pound claims. Rosemary now works exclusively for policyholders, helping to resolve disputes with insurers as quickly and painlessly as possible when valid claims are challenged.
 

Emma Hockley
Specialist Insurance Lawyer

Emma has nearly 20 years’ dispute resolution experience, during which time she has acted for individuals and small businesses as well as large national and multi-national companies. Before joining Indemnity Legal, Emma advised insurance companies on the resolution of insurance claims and she now uses that experience to help policyholders who find themselves in dispute with their insurers.
